Teeter Hang Ups FAQs

Q. What height and weight is the Teeter Hang Ups rated for?Teeter Image 3

A. The Teeter EP 650 is rated at 4-8” to 6-6” and up to 300lbs.

Q. What angle should beginners invert at?

A. Teeter Hang Ups suggests that all beginners start at a mild angle around 20-30 degrees until you are comfortable with its operation.

Q. When do I know when to extend the angle?

A. Your body should feel completely relaxed at 30 degrees before moving to greater angles. Most often, if a new user experiences discomfort it is a result of pushing your body too far, too fast.

Q. Is it normal to feel added pressure in my head during inversion?

A. Not only is it normal, but it is good for you because it means increased blood is flowing through your brain, eyes, skin and hair. However, the pressure usually lessens over time. If you feel uncomfortable, it is ok to come up and rest for a while.

Q.  Are there health risks involved with inversion?

A. Extensive research has been done on this topic and shows that you are at no more of a stroke risk by hanging upside down than if you are exercising right side up.

Q. Are there health issues that may prevent me from inversion?

A. As always before starting a new exercise regimen you should check with your physician.
